I just tested EASEUS Partition Master Home Edition – one of the best FREE partition tools on the Internet – and I love it. Partition Master gives you all the functionalities you’d expect from great partition software: extend or decrease partitions, manage disk space easily, settle low disk space problems and includes data protection features such as Partition Manager, Disk & Partition Copy Wizard & Partition Recovery Wizard. The program is compatible with Windows 2000/XP/Vista/Windows 7 (32 bit).
You can download the free home edition of Partition master at the Easus Web site, or if you’d like to go a step up, PC Memoirs has secured ONE PROFESSIONAL LICENSE from EASEUS, so be quick and leave a comment. First visitor to leave one will receive a FREE Licence for Partition Master – Professional Edition. The Pro edition is compatible with 64 bit systems.
I downloaded the 11.1MB setup, installed it in 2 minutes and ran the tool. From there, I could resize, copy, delete, convert, wipe and defragment partitions. It is very easy to use and if you make a mistake, the UNDO button helps you reverse the last operation. You can find all help contents in the main HELP menu.

Today is all about fun with computers. Therefore, I have collected a number of IT jokes that I came across recently. Some are great, some just ok. I like the one with the blonde. Enjoy!
Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning.
During a recent password audit at a large company, it was found that a blonde receptionist was using the following password: “MickeyMinniePlutoHueyLouieDeweyDonaldGoofySacramento” When asked why she had such a long password, she said she was told that it had to be at least eight characters long and include at least one capital.
Q: How many programmers does it take to change a light bulb? A: None. It’s a hardware problem.
My computer made a funny sound the other day. Of course, I’ve never heard it get thrown out of a window before.
A doctor, a civil engineer and a programmer are discussing whose profession is the oldest. “Surely medicine is the oldest profession,” says the doctor. “God took a rib from Adam and created Eve and if this isn’t medicine I’ll be…” The civil engineer breaks in: “But before that He created the heavens and the earth from chaos. Now that’s civil engineering to me.” The programmer thinks a bit and then says: “And who do you think created chaos?”

After the recent negative headlines that Facebook received, I thought it would be a good idea to revisit the whole issue of social networking: is it good or bad?
Some people love Facebook and some despise it. I am somewhere inbetween, as I recognise the good things and positive potential of Facebook and similar sites, but on the other hand, I think people spend too much time and energy on this type of networking. There are many reasons for hating Facebook, which I’ll attempt to list.
But first, let’s list all the good things about Facebook:
- Facebook is great for finding long lost friends and high school friends (provided they are Facebook users too).
- It’s great for keeping in touch with friends and relatives that may live far away.
- You can follow your favourite celebrities and sportists and read their updates.
- You can hear important news – for example something you wouldn’t hear on the news or read in the newspapers – something that interests you.
- It reduces the costs of communication – you don’t have to spend money on long distance phone calls. Just write a short message or comment. The recipient will most certainly see the message within a few hours, if not within minutes.
- It’s fun – you can read funny posts and news from friends, see what they are up to and play Facebook games.
- Facebook is also great for sharing photos and videos.

I just read an article in a newspaper that mentioned some funny domain names on the Internet. Then I remembered – I have heard a fair share of weird and funny Web addresses in my 12 years online (yes, I entered the virtual world in 1998). Some are well known, such as expertsexchange.com, and others not so much (and for a good reason).
So I thought, why not list some of these names for our amusement. Most of the names you will see in the following list look innocent at first, but if you read it differently, it may sound both funny and often naughty! Please be aware that some of the domain names don’t exist any more, as the owners have identified the unfortunate word associations and corrected their mistake.
Here is my selection of BAD DOMAIN NAMES (I’m sure there are plenty more):
Australian ISP Web One – www.webone.com
Mole Station Nursery in Australia – www.molestationnursery.com.au
British company selling drapes La Drape – www.ladrape.co.uk
British firm Les Bocages – www.lesbocages.co.uk
