While 2011 was the year when touchscreen tablet computers finally exploded onto the scene, 2012 will be the year when tablets and laptops go head to head for the hearts of consumers. Already, much talk and practice has been had with tablets as a business tool to replace laptops while the normal consumer like a student or a family may easily consider a tablet before a laptop. The following tablets and laptops will be the models to watch in 2012 as they may be the final straw to tip the scales or at least offer users a good time trying it out.
Tablets to watch in 2012
Tablets have a bigger advantage over laptops in that the market is still not saturated enough for new innovations. Tablet users still have no clear idea as to what will be the defining factor for that make or break decision in buying a tablet, as such there are a whole lot more choices. Because of this the tablet list is significantly larger with a number of models still not out for consumer consumption just yet.
This list includes the:
- Apple iPad3
- Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime TF201
- OLPC XO 3.0
- Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7
- Sony Tablet P

We live in such an abundant information age that a hard drive failure these days can mean the sudden loss of data comparable to the burning of the Alexandria Library. It’s happened to most of us at least once and we recognise the awful feeling in the pit of your stomach, and the rising tension in your chest as you realise that all your files, photos, music and videos, your personal as well as professional documents, may be gone forever. There are steps you can take to recover some, hopefully all, of your data from a crashed hard drive.
Copy Your Files Before A Crash
Assuming that your hard drive hasn’t crashed already and is up to the task, you might want to try to make an image of your hard disk, as this can save you in the case of a crash.
New Hard Drive
If your drive is toast, you’ll need to replace your old hard drive with a new one. If you have been making regular back-ups, you should be able to simply transfer them to your new hard drive and carry on.

Apple’s laptops have come of age with many of their laptop models reaching the top of the market share. They have excelled especially in terms of design with beautifully thin laptops that seem more of a lifestyle product than a technical one. As the one to beat in terms of design, it was only a matter of time before another laptop manufacturer would try to match Apple, which is what HP have done with their HP Envy line of laptops against Apple’s MacBook Pro.
For this match-up we’ll take a look at the HP Envy 15 and 17 against the Apple MacBook Pro 15-inch and 17-inch laptops for a head-to-head analysis of both contenders.
Design:
Apple is without a doubt the originator of the aluminum unibody chassis school of design. The advantages have been discussed by many as the better rigidity makes the Apple MacBook Pro laptops lighter, tougher and thinner than the usual plastic. In short, both the Apple MacBook Pro 15-inch and 17-inch laptops look like high-end lifestyle pieces of art, rather than computers. However, after several generations of the same look, this can get rather dated and there are no other options asides from the usual silver or white lid. The black bezels do bring a bit more contrast but its nothing that hasn’t been seen before.

Android tracking software is one of a kind app introduced for android tablets that can be used by parents to monitor the activities of their kids and teens over the internet. All wise people say that everything has two sides to it, one good and one bad.
Where internet brings unlimited benefits for people across the world, it brings along problems for parents since they constantly worry about what their kids might do on the internet. Now parents can save their worries by using the Android Spy software that they can install in the Android tablets being used by their kids. They can know everything their kids do over the internet with Android tracking software for Android tablets.
Once parents install the Android tracking software in tablets that are being used by their kids and teenagers, they can connect the app with their online account to monitor what their teens and children do on the internet. Parents can know what pages and which websites are browsed by their children. A copy of all the browsing details is made available for the parents thanks to Android tracking software. Therefore, if young children are visiting websites that are PG rated or if they have content that can affect the mentality or personality of growing children, then parents know that they need to restrict access to such websites. They can then put locks on such websites or pages or do whatever they think will work for their children to prevent them from exposure to inappropriate content over the internet.
